We are currently installing our new TAB facilities behind the Legends Bar and it is due to be operating from 10th October.

Club Policy:

The Condamine Sports Club has implemented its RAMP -   (Risk Assessed Management Plan) 

The objective of this RAMP is to outline our commitment to provide a safe and friendly atmosphere for all members and guests to meet and socialize in a responsible environment. The Condamine Sports Club is committed to continually improving its approach to training and venue operation.

The Condamine Sports Club of Warwick licensed hours are:
Monday to Sunday - 10:00am to 12:00 midnight
Closing hours of the Club may change at the management’s discretion. 

Responsible Hospitality Practices

Condamine Sports Club will:

  • provide water either free or at a reasonable price to all patrons;
  • offer light or midstrength options at cheaper prices than full strength;
  • sell a variety of non-alcoholic drinks;
  • promote awareness of drink spiking issues;
  • encourage staff to monitor and control patrons consumption of liquor;
  • deter patrons from rapidly and excessively consuming liquor;
  • supply liquor in standardised quantities that can be recognised by patrons;
  • serve half measures of spirits if requested.

 

Requirements of Front Line Staff

Front line staff have an important role to monitor patrons attending the Club and refusing entry to people who are showing signs of intoxication and ensure all members and guests comply with our dress code. 

All patrons are required to provide acceptable evidence of age under the Liquor Act 1992.  The only 5 specific forms of ID, must be valid, as follows:

  • Drivers Licence
  • Passport
  • 18+ Card
  • Victorian Keypass
  • International Drivers Licence with English certification

Visitors and guests to the Club must produce one of the above ID's clearly stating residential address. Members and reciprocal members are required to produce the relevant membership card from their club, although no staff member will consider a Club Membership card proof of age.

 

Promotions / Advertising of Events

The Condamine Sports Club of Warwick promotes responsible hospitality service and does not engage in practices, promotions or advertising that could jeopardise the safety of our patrons or disturb the peace or good order of the neighbourhood.  

Management do not heavily discount or offer free alcohol to encourage drinking for drinking sake and do not promote activities that encourage harassment of patrons or staff. 

Management choose to promote the amenity of the venue and strive to provide you with a relaxing, entertaining and enjoyable evening which encourages your patronage. 

 

Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)

All Staff must provide responsible service of alcohol and obey duty of care to all patrons to ensure a safe environment and minimise harm.

As our staff are trained in RSA, they understand the signs of behavioural change and how to monitor patrons and use preventative measures where possible.  This means they will not sell or supply liquor to a person who is under the age of eighteen or to patron’s who are intoxicated or disorderly.

Staff understand the concept of a ‘standard drink' and will ensure that all spirits & liqueurs are measured appropriately (free pouring is discouraged) by either 15ml or 30ml.

 

Unduly Intoxicated & Disorderly Patrons

All staff will actively monitor levels of undue intoxication and identify signs of disorderly conduct in all patrons.

Any unduly intoxicated patron/s will not be served and will be asked to leave the premises.   

It is an offence to sell or supply liquor or allow the supply to liquor to an person who is disorderly.  Disorderly patrons must be asked to leave the premises immediately.  If any staff member feels unsafe they are required to inform the approved manager on duty and the police are to be called.

Management seeks to meet its duty of care obligations to all patrons.

Management and staff who do not support drinking practices which;

  • foster a culture of binge drinking; and
  • encourage irresponsible consumption practices.

 

Minors

Minors are classified as any person under 18 years of age. 

Minors can only be allowed in the Club for the following reasons:

  • In the immediate company and being supervised by a responsible adult
  • Employed at the Club
  • Completing work experience / training at the Club
  • Attending a function
  • Engaged in eating a meal at the premises
  • Minors who are there for the purpose of playing golf, will be allowed access to the Clubhouse and facilities, without a responsible adult or having a meal.  This includes, but is not restricted to, minors that are junior members of the Warwick Golf Club, minors who have paid green fees to the Warwick Golf Club and minors from visiting sporting teams or playing visitors to the Club, and minors attending an activity of the club, until 7pm.

No minor is permitted in the Gaming Room and cannot purchase, consume, or be given liquor – even by their parents or guardians, anywhere on the premises.  

Minors must remain in the control and supervision of their responsible adult at all times whilst in the Club. Adults who do not adequately supervise minors will be asked, along with the minors in question, to leave the premises.

 

Noise and Amenity

The Condamine Sports Club of Warwick respect our neighbours and ask patrons and staff to respect them too. We are committed to monitoring entertainment and patron noise to comply with all prescribed noise levels. 

 

Staff Training

All staff, who have signed on and agree to work according to the RAMP, Liquor Licence, Gaming Machine Licence, Induction manual, House Policies/Rules.

 

Designated Outdoor Smoking Area (DOSA)

Smoking is not permitted in the licensed area of the Club at any time except in the Designated Outdoor Smoking Area.

The Condamine Sports Club, ensure that within the DOSA there is no serving of food or drinks, consumption of food or provision of entertainment.

 

Compliance with Laws

We comply with all mandatory laws including;

  • Liquor Act 1992;
  • Gaming Machine Act 1991;
  • Anti Discrimination Act 1991;
  • Tobacco and Other Smoking Products Act 1998;
  • Trade Measurement Act 1990;
  • Security Providers Act 1993;
  • Workplace Health and Safety Act 1995;
  • Industrial Relations Act 1999;
  • Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003;
  • Food Act 1981;
  • Fire and Rescue Service Act 1990;
  • Local by-laws outlined by Local Government;
  • Business Names Act 1962

The Condamine Sports Club of Warwick Inc. comply with all laws which enable us to engage in good business practices.

As a note to all interested parties, it is an offence (by law) to refuse, when asked to leave club premises (for any reason at any time) by management of the Condamine Sports Club of Warwick Inc. (or their representatives). Management, and/or staff are instructed to contact the police should this situation occur.

Dress Code:

Patrons are to be clean, neat and tidy at all times.
We do not permit the following:

  • Bare feet (including children of walking age)
  • Thongs (after 7pm)
  • Singlets or sleeveless shirts
  • Work clothing (after 7pm)
  • Untidy or dirty work clothing
  • Hats or caps (except for children under the age of 12)
  • Offensive shirts

*Religious headwear is permitted.

Management reserves the right to determine dress standards.

 

 

Courtesy Bus:

Condamine Sports Club of Warwick & Hawker Road Function Centre provide a Courtesy Bus for members who live within the serviced area. Bookings are essential. Please phone reception on (07) 4661 1720 for bookings and for further information.

Friday & Saturday

5pm til late 

*Bus start and finish times are indicative only and are subject to change without notice

  • Bookings are essential. Please give at least 1 hour of notice for a pick up and a half hour notice to be taken home. While we endeavour to ensure that this courtesy service can meet your requirements, it is not a taxi service and where fully booked, we may be unable to accommodate your requests.
  • No children under the age of 4 years will be permitted on the bus at any time.
  • When booking the bus please provide full street address, contact phone number, how many passengers and your membership number.
  • No smoking is permitted on the bus at any time.
  • No food or beverages are permitted on the bus at any time.
  • No foul language or obscene behaviour is permitted at any time
  • No intoxicated persons will be permitted on the bus at any time.

The driver has the right to refuse entry onto the bus to any person not observing the above guidelines. Please remember this is a courtesy service and our bus can only seat 11 persons at any one time. Once all seats are filled on any service, no other persons will be permitted entry on to the bus.
